Suggestions to avoid injurires and accidents on the hill:
- Follow the skier/boarder mountain code.
- While training, follow the professional advice and teachings given - injuries are quick to come at the early stages of training and wrong body posture, when already rooted into your ride, is hard to fix later. Wrong posture may also later hinder your development.
- Regularly check your equipment or rent equipment from trusted places. When choosing equipment, never overrate yourself, but choose the model which suits your height and profile. Boots must fit perfectly - you have less control over the skis with large boots, your feet may get cold with little ones and you may start making mistakes out of discomfort. Equipment rentals where they disregard or don\'t bother asking your height/weight are probably untrustworthy.
- Do enough warm-up exercises - spend at least a few minutes stretching/bending.
- Look out for the first signs of exhaustion - many mistakes occur on the second half of the day when tiredness has entered the body.
- Try to avoid being agitated and pushing your abilities to the extreme on tracks and speeds innapropriate and/or dangerous to current skiing/boarding abilities. Trying to keep up with more experienced riders may lead to injuries.
- Wear proper clothing, preferrably multi-layered. Don\'t forget masks or protective goggles.
- Skiing on closed tracks is strictly forbidden. Tracks aren\'t closed without a reason and responsibility for their actions lies on the backs of skiiers/boarders defying the rule.
